Happy birthday to the man I chose voluntarily, which remains the strongest available evidence that love seriously affects a person’s judgement. Life with you means abandoned mugs, mysterious piles of clothing and asking what you want for dinner only to have every suggestion immediately rejected. You can hear the fridge opening while completely asleep, but not me asking you to take the bins out while standing three feet away. Every five-minute job requires several tools, the entire garage floor and language normally reserved for major industrial accidents. Still, you make me laugh, tolerate my nonsense and somehow remain the person I most want beside me. Even when you’re wrong. Which is most of the time. Love you, idiot x
