Thank you. It's deeply inconvenient when you do something lovely because it interferes with our carefully maintained opinion that you're a pain in the arse. We were perfectly happy taking the mickey, and now you've gone and been thoughtful, generous and annoyingly good at being there. Frankly, it's poor sportsmanship. We'd buy you an enormous gift, but you'd only say we shouldn't have, so we've saved us both the argument. Please accept this card as official evidence that, on this occasion, you've been a decent human being. What you did meant more than you probably realised.
