GREAT-GRANDPARENTS
For somebody you like enough to insult properly.
Congratulations on your new great-grandchild. You've reached the stage where the family tree needs a bigger sheet of paper and visitors have to explain who belongs to whom. You're officially great now, which will be a relief after years of describing yourselves that way without independent confirmation. Expect photographs, proud announcements and a small person being carefully introduced while everyone talks in a voice they don't normally use. You'll offer sensible advice, which the family will initially ignore before discovering you had a point. Try not to look too pleased when that happens. What a lovely thing to see your family grow again. Wishing you precious time together, plenty of laughter and all the happiness this little arrival brings to your lives. Roast with love x
