ANOTHER LITTLE BRANCH

Congratulations on the birth of your great-grandchild. Another little branch on the family tree, which is now complicated enough to require labels at gatherings. Your birthday list has expanded, your photograph collection has doubled and someone will shortly ask which relative the baby's nose belongs to. Apparently noses are allocated by committee. You've seen enough family arrivals to know that everyone will offer advice and the baby will follow absolutely none of it. Sensible little thing. There'll be new names to practise, new stories to hear and another person who'll eventually discover where you keep the good biscuits. What a wonderful addition to a family you've helped shape.
