You don't have to be brave today. You don't have to be cheerful, inspirational or the person who makes everybody else feel better about your treatment. That sounds like an unpaid job with absolutely shite benefits. If you've had enough of appointments, waiting rooms and people saying "stay positive" as though they've personally invented hope, fair enough. We can have a moan. We can watch something terrible. We can sit quietly without turning the silence into a motivational seminar. Tell me if a lift, a bit of shopping or some company would help; I'll let you know what I can do. No hosting, tidying or thanking me beautifully required. I care about you on the difficult days just as much as every other day. You are loved. Roast with love x
