Loving someone with cancer doesn't magically turn you into a calm, endlessly capable person with a spare battery up your arse. You may be juggling appointments, shopping, messages and your own worries while people keep asking how you're "holding up". Sometimes the honest answer is: with tea and a rapidly deteriorating vocabulary. You don't have to give me the polished version. You can love someone deeply and still be tired, frightened, fed up or desperate for ten quiet minutes. This card is for you, too.
