We Love Balloons / Balloon release policy

WE LOVE
BALLOONS.
WE DON’T
LET THEM GO.

We do not support, advertise or promote any form of balloon release. This applies to our shop and all commercial work.

LATEX. FOIL. “BIODEGRADABLE”.
ONE BALLOON OR A THOUSAND.

01 / Where we stand

NO RELEASES.
NO EXCEPTIONS.

We do not organise balloon releases or knowingly supply balloons for deliberate release into the environment.

Our policy covers every occasion: celebrations, memorials, charity fundraisers, school events, launches and corporate promotions. It applies to every balloon material.

We understand that a release can be intended as a meaningful tribute. We can help you create a thoughtful display that stays safely in place and is collected afterwards.

02 / Foil needs particular care

FOIL RELEASES?
ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Foil balloons are not biodegradable. Once released, they can travel beyond the event and become persistent litter.

Their metallic coating can conduct electricity. Contact with overhead power lines or railway electrical wires can cause faults, disruption and serious danger.

Keep foil balloons securely weighted and well away from overhead cables. Never try to retrieve any balloon caught in electrical wires.

03 / What goes up comes down

OUT OF SIGHT.
STILL OUT THERE.

Released balloons and their ribbons can land in fields, rivers, the sea and wildlife habitats. Animals can swallow balloon pieces or become entangled in ribbons and strings.

Natural latex can biodegrade, but breakdown is not immediate. A balloon can harm wildlife long before it breaks down. A “biodegradable” label is never permission to release it.

Read about our materials, reusable display systems and disposal guidance.

04 / Keep the occasion. Keep hold.

MAKE A MOMENT.
KEEP IT GROUNDED.

Choose a secured balloon display, an air-filled arch or a photo backdrop. Our arch frames, backboards, sailboards and tower systems go back to work, event after event.

For a tribute, a memory board, shared reading or a moment of reflection can give people a way to take part without releasing anything.

Keep balloons secured throughout your event. Afterwards, deflate and collect every balloon, ribbon and fragment, then reuse suitable items or dispose of them responsibly.
